Music Improvisation - Students
learn to improvise by singing and playing a variety of traditional and
no-traditional instruments. Melodies, variations and
accompaniments. Beginning improvisational learning activities
centered around student's development of aural/oral skills and sense
of melodic direction; |

Music Notation - Reading and
notating music in the Western tradition / Students read, notate and
interpret symbols of rhythmic and melodic patterns; |

Performances - Using various
instruments. Using familiar melodies and rhythms to support note
reading |

Composing and Arranging music in the
traditional manner, as well as computer software and MIDI equipment to
organize and generate their musical ideas |
